The purpose of the practical firearm safety course is to deliver basic foundation training in safe firearm handling. This is primarily a practical face to face session that will help develop the required knowledge and skills that will enable the new firearm licence applicant to safely handle the common firearm action types and support the learning gained in the online learning modules and the Arms Code.
After completing the practical training, those applicants who did not pass the theory test will be given a second opportunity to do so. If you passed the theory test the first time you will not need to resit it and your course ends after the practical session.
